Alexis Mena
Alexis has over 16 years experience as an urban and environmental planner, with skills in project, schedule, and budget management; land use analysis; sustainability planning; policy development and analysis; and interior design. Alexis has a Masters in City Planning focused in Land Use from the UC Berkeley College of Environmental Design and is a LEED Accredited Professional. She is passionate about interior and exterior design and offers her design skills to our clients.
In her free time, Alexis enjoys renovating and designing her own house, spending time with her children, baking, and enjoying a glass wine.
Mike Mena
Mike is a licensed general contractor and has over 20 years experience working in the industry as a code inspector, permit center manager, and
city planner. Mike is a certified commercial and residential building inspector and a property maintenance and housing inspector under the ICC, in addition to being a Massachusetts Public Health Housing Inspector. Mike has a Rural Town Planning and Development Degree from Chico State, California and a Construction Management and Inspection Certificate from San Jose State University.
When Mike isn't focused on work, he is teaching and coaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts, playing with his kids, and enjoying a glass of wine with Alexis.

For the Home Owner
- General Contracting. Kitchens, bathrooms, and other residential renovations and remodels.
- "Ready to List" and Staging Services. Whether it's painting, touchups, landscaping, quick renovations, or staging, we'll make your place look its best for its new owner.
- Design. Space planning; material, fixture, furnishing, and decor selection; and staging. Our design services are available on-site or virtually.
- Zoning and Building Analysis. Review and analysis of how your property and project conform to zoning and building regulations. We'll also determine the permits and plans/documents you need and outline your path to approval.
- Plan Review. We'll review your plans for zoning compliance. We'll also conduct a review for basic building code compliance, and provide advice regarding site layout and architectural design.
- Permitting Approvals. We'll handle the application submittal for all of your permits and approvals, working with the local jurisdiction and its boards or commissions to get your project approved.
- Zoning and Code Violations. Have you been cited by your local jurisdiction for an unpermitted use, construction activity, or other zoning, building, or land use violation? We can represent you before the jurisdiction and local boards and commissions to bring your property into compliance.
For the Business Owner
- Zoning and Building Analysis. We can provide a basic or advanced review of existing regulations and assess how your property and project conform to current zoning and building regulations. We can also determine the applicable permits, licenses, and/or studies (e.g., traffic analysis, stormwater plan, soil evaluation) you will need for your project and outline your path to approval.
- Plan Review. Revising your plans in response to comments from your local jurisdiction costs you time and money. Streamline your permit process with a "second set of eyes" on your plans before you submit your application for permit(s). We'll review your plans for compliance and provide advice regarding site layout and architectural design.
- Permitting Approvals. We'll work with the project team (business manager, architect, contractor, etc.) to compile all applicable plans and reports and handle the application submittal for all of your permits and approvals. We'll work with the local jurisdiction and its boards or commissions throughout the permit process to get your project approved.
- Construction Oversight. We'll assist in compiling and vetting the construction team and oversee the construction process to ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and your project specifications. We'll be there on your job site so you don't have to be.
- Zoning and Code Violations. Have you been cited by your local jurisdiction for an unpermitted use, construction activity, or other zoning. building, or land use violation? We can represent you before the jurisdiction and local boards and commissions to correct your violation and bring your property into compliance.
For the Realtor or Developer

- Zoning and Building Analysis. We will provide a detailed analysis of how a site's existing condition and proposed project conform to current zoning and building regulations. We will determine the applicable permits and/or studies you will need for your project and outline the path to approval.
